Is Google My Business Worth it?

Google Logo SEO

If you have a business you probably being told to list it on GMB by a host of friends and family. But is this worth the effort?

In our opinion, yes and let’s break it down and show you why.

Firstly, google my business is owned by Google and they dominate the search market online. Over 70% of searches for businesses are done via google so if you want your business to be found via a search like “hospitals near me” you must have GMB page. This allows a potential client to see what your business is about, if it is open now and also call you right then if they on a cellphone. This is what they term local seo.

Next when potential clients search for business or services a results page will show up giving you a list of information or business to choose from. The page can be divided into paid adverting, maps and seo which is free i.e. you don’t pay google to appear there. The paid and seo both cost money the one to google and the latter to you agency to ensure you appear in the SERP search engine results page. You want to be on this first page and at the top. That’s where a majority of the business goes.

Having a GMB page will assist with SEO and ensure you appear in the maps as well. So for this reason is a definite yes to have a gmb page.

It’s also important to ensure you optimize the business page to show up on the first page and beat the competition in your industry.
